try to ask less questions in emails

good email:  Limited number of questions.

e.g.
hi how are you ?
i have been choosen for the co-op program in the td canada bank and in dell computers organization.
i am having difficulty in choosing the better one.
which one you would suggest me to choose ?
thanks alot.


bag email: too many questions.

e.g.
hi
how are you ?
how is life going?
tell me how to get rich in one night ?
should i join the gym?
should i go out to eat once a week?
i want to buy a car, which one you want me to suggest ?

if you ask too many questions in a email, then the chances to answer all questions by reader becomes less. he might can ignore your email.
ask specific questions instead of general open ended ones. try to be reasonable and thoughtful when asking amd donot expect the reader to solve out your life problems.

how to write request email

a request email is a type of email in which you are expecting to be replied back or to take action as soon as possible from the reader or recepient.

start directly your email by writing the request why you are writng to him/her without providing any detailed information in starting.
then in the body ask the questions, insert the detail etc. then close with the end date,  with a reason if possible to promote response quickly and try to write your email not too long by providing the desired information.
try to be fiendly.

how to write response emails

some of us are writing emails or some of us will have to write emails to our boss, teacher or to friend or family member etc. but make sure to write the response email in a good way.

try to write the email as much professionally as you can. response letter are mostly use to reply back to request letters back.
 so in the response letter, you should write the main information fro why you are sending this email.  then in the body, provide additional information and details what you want to put in it.
the closing part of your email should consist of suammarizing, remarking etc.

Email is an personal inbox.

data in email is inconsistent, duplicated and it is still being usedas organiztional repository of information.

people come and go in between dicussions(conversations).
email is a method of sending, receiving, storing electronic communication free of cost on internet.

so a email should be written well mannered so that the receiver or the reader can gets the purpose of the email easily.
as these days, all of us have a lack of time. most of us have no time to go through each and every email in detail.
so email should be well mannered written so that no one have difficulty to read the email quickly.

WRITING EFFECTIVE EMAILS


Remember that the subject lines are headlines. choose several words so that vthe recepient know that what is the purpose of email easily.

bad example:

Hi Sam,

Subject: i am sending this email to remind you about the party that we have organised for the next week. be there on time.


Good example: 

Hi Sam,


Subject: This is to remind you about the party that we have organise dfor the next week on june 13 at 5 pm, at mountview hotel in toronto. try to be there on time.


from these example, one can easily get the purpose of the email and the scheduled time for it and the day as well.


make sure to provide the email phone number if you want any call to action, your contact information, name, address if you want in internal messages.

example:

hi ....,

subject: ............................


i am sending this email to you to tell you you that i am going to new york for  1 week from 11 august to 18 august. if you have any problem regarding your study or job, you can contact me on

or
6389877687

this is my new york hotel number where i am going to stay.
